Analysis

The Poland team has continued its struggles in the World Cup despite having one of the best strikers in the world. Barring Robert Lewandowski, the team lacks quality, and this weakness was clearly visible in their opening two games. But thanks to Barcelona number nine, the Polish have a chance to hopefully pull off a miracle and reach the Round of 16.

After a disappointing opening game, Lionel Messi carried Argentina to a special victory over Mexico. After a slow start, the Paris Saint Germain talisman took the game by the scruff of the neck and scored a brilliant goal from 25 yards out. In defence, Lisandro Martinez was the star as he put in an incredible shift and contained the Mexican attackers.
